Peter and Amanda first met at high school when they were both 17. They dated for about a year and everything was going well. Peter dreamt of being a foreign correspondent and Amanda dreamt of being an artist. When they finished high school, they went to the same university and they decided to move in together. So, they rented a small apartment together. They continued to live together for about three years. However, they did have their ups and downs during those three years (they argued about money, parents, study etc. etc.), just like any 'typical' couple.
 
Although Amanda really liked Peter, she started to get cold feet about staying with Peter and one day she decided to leave him. She packed her stuff and left without telling him.
